Telesis Inc. is currently recruiting for two Machine Learning Engineers (MLE) at MacDill, AFB.
The Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) will design and develop highly scalable, machine learning applications - both pipelines and services - processing large volumes of data. They will collaborate with Data Scientists to design tools to train machine learning models using data from across the enterprise.
The MLE shall perform the following tasks:
• Build data pipelines. Transform and convert data streams into structures needed for algorithm input. Work with large datasets, both structured and unstructured.
• Perform Big Data analytics leveraging the Hadoop ecosystem (Apache Hive, Pig, HBase and Kafka) and distributed computing platforms such as Spark.
• Develop software using Python and or Julia, including packages such as NumPy and pandas. Design, build, and train custom models using deep learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit, Caffe, Keras and or PyTorch. Follow Agile processes with a focus on delivering production-ready testable code in small iterations.
• Develop in object oriented programing languages to include Java and or C++.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop algorithms and tools for training and simulations.
• Work with cloud computing providers such as Azure or AWS .
