Full Job Description Equivalent Experience
Job Description:
Ensure compliance for Federal, State, local, and private grants
Knowledge of OMB uniform guidance
Prepare invoices, reports, and projections, including payroll expenditures, journal entries, and budget vouchers
Analyze data, reconcile general ledger accounts, and verify the accuracy of accounting classifications
Assist the grants office and institutional research office to review new grant applications and related budgets
Prepare for audits and respond to auditors questions
Assist PIs and grant personnel with grant issues, and ensure compliance with grantor and institutional requirements
Assist PIs with budget amendments or modifications
Assist in preparing the SEFA Reports and its reconciliation
Maintain files and records as required
Prepare periodic and special reports of grant account status or analysis as required
Assist accountants assignments for accuracy and completeness
Prepare and conduct Fiscal site visit/audit to sub-contractor
Assist in preparing the grant manual for Principal Investigators and staff
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
3+ years experience in Grant Accounting required
Experience within GAAP required
Intermediate Excel skills required
