Responsibilities
• Perform timely reconciliations of account activity with customer, issue monthly statements, independently conducts negotiations with customers on collection paybacks to ensure account meets/exceeds prescribed targets and KPI’s.
• Perform credit risk analysis for credit override situations and independently coordinates early pay arrangement with high credit risk customers when credit line is exceeded.
• Performs timely cash application activities as needed to accurately update customer accounts for all incoming cash receipts daily.
• Performs in-depth research and gathers supporting documentation for customer billing, product damage, shortage/overage and return discrepancies in collaboration with various internal and external teams and utilizing various systems and websites.
• Provides supporting documentation to internal policies and SOX controls for compliance and submits appropriate adjustments remedies to management for approval (adjustment, credit, denials, rebills).
• Works cross functionally with other teams and departments to achieve target results, including by not limited to Trade Sales Operations, Pricing & Customer Operations teams, and Customer Care.
Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field or relevant experience
• Accounts receivable/cash application experience preferred
• 3 years’ experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or related field, preferably working directly with external customers
• Experience handling multiple priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize work and make independent decisions based on business policies
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.  Knowledge of SAP a plus
• Strong team player, able to work well across a variety of levels and team borders, collaborating effectively within a matrix organization
• Incumbent may need to work remotely during inclement weather or from time to time.
