Full Job Description Therapeutic Community Support Professional

Job Summary:
Under direction of Program Manager, provides:
• Therapeutic family support
• Therapeutic independent living transition supports
• Behavior management skills training
• In-home support and mentoring
• Therapeutic interventions
Also acts as an expansion of therapy with both children/youth and adults in a community setting.
Develops treatment/behavior management plans and documents all progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
1. Bachelor's degree that includes at least one 3-hour developmental psychology or behavioral health intervention course and one year of direct care experience.
2. Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related work experience that includes 60 hours of documented workplace training in developmental psychology or behavioral health interventions.
3. A Master's degree in a human services related field.
AND a valid Driver's License with the ability to provide safe and reliable transportation.
Prefer candidates that possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and understanding of family, individual, and group dynamics. Prefer d emonstrated skills in assessment of child, adult, and family needs along with skills in consultation, and the ability to work as part of a team.
