Job Summary
Job Location – open to applicants statewide.
This position provides a variety of rehabilitation technology services for the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation customers (consumers/people with disabilities, employers, other agencies, etc) in a specific geographic service area. This position provides rehabilitation technology assessments for consumers, producing reports with specific recommendations for consumers and rehabilitation counselors; provides training and technical assistance for consumers in the use of equipment; provides equipment cost estimations and maintenance; designs, develops, fabricates, and tests custom rehabilitation technology equipment for consumers; provides technical support to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation on electronic information technology accessibility.

Preferred Education/Experience
Degree in engineering, especially rehabilitation or biomedical engineering; occupational therapy, physical therapy or speech-language pathology; other engineering, technical or allied health science field w/experience in assistive/rehabilitation technology; RESNA Assistive Technology Practitioner ( ATP ) Certification .
