Key responsibilities
- Connect with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support
- Maintain, test, configure, and install application software, operating systems, and system management tools
- Administer and control all installed systems and infrastructure
- Track an assay application performance for potential bottlenecks, determine possible solutions, and collaborate with developers to achieve those fixes
- Retain redundancy strategies, backup, and security
- Play a part in the design of information and operational support systems
- Type and continue custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Take preventive measures to confirm the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability - This position requires a candidate with solid scripting skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience - We are particularly looking for candidates with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
- Proven knowledge of Active Directory
- Well-founded grasp of Group Policy
- Microsoft Exchange Server experience
- Expertise in Hyper-V
- Foundational knowledge in Veeam
- VMware experience
- Symantec experience
- Experience with automation software
