Distributed Computer Systems Specialist:
This employee contributes to the co-creation and implementation of an Information Systems Support in a Distributed Systems, Local Area Network, providing first level desktop hardware and Software support to End Users of the Florida Department of Health, Brain and Spinal-cord Injury Prevention, and Medical Quality Assurance Programs located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide excellence in customer service and service delivery to each customer that support/assistance is rendered to.
• Support all approved software, hardware, and peripherals in use by the Florida Department of Health, Tampa Medical Quality Assurance Office and the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Prevention Program.
• Provide technical support and problem resolution for approved software and hardware problems or potential problems discovered during preventative maintenance.
• Conduct semi-annual preventative maintenance of each component of the desktop computer workstation and printers at your assigned locations.
• Keep customers informed of the status of pending or in process work orders and warranty repair items.
• Perform Support Duties related to the Avaya Voice over Internet Protocol Telephone (VoIP) system, Serve as the Secondary VoIP support Technician, when applicable and necessary.
• Track and report all actions taken within the appropriate syllabus of the Track It Help Desk application.
• Ensure a safe workplace when conducting assigned duties and equipment installations by wearing issued safety equipment.
Minimum Qualifications :
• Two years’ experience in Information Technology Customer Support.
• Two years’ experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Desktop Software.
• Two years’ experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Two years’ experience in network infrastructure, cable installation, troubleshooting and repair.
• Valid Driver License
Other Desirable Qualifications :
• Microsoft Certifications in Desktop Computer or Network Support
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ Certifications
• Experience and familiarity with Voice over Internet Protocol Telephonic systems and software
