Job Description: The Leidos Defense group has a position for an experienced Security Control Assessor, located in Tampa, FL.
**This position will support the customer for up to 180 days. This full-time position *may* have the possibility of leading to a follow-on opportunity after 180 days. ***
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This program will provide our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring that their computer network is stable, undisrupted and secure so lives and mission are not in jeopardy. These positions will support a Department of Defense (DoD) organization (USAFRICOM) from Tampa and will support the accreditation of USAFRICOM networks and systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform on-site Security Control Assessments on CCMD networks and systems, as directed, and report findings to the Government.
•Perform and document Risk Assessments of findings (vulnerabilities, non-compliant areas, etc.) identified through Security Control Assessments.
•If compliance cannot be met on any Security Control, develop and submit a POA&M or Exception to Policy, as directed, to the Government for approval within the directed timelines.
•Recommend courses of action for addressing all findings.
•Work in dynamic fast-paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree and 5+ years recent specialized; or AA/AS +9  years recent specialized; or a major cert +9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.
•DoD 8570 IAM III certification required prior to start.
•Experience with:
o The ICD 503/NIST 800-53 certification and accreditation process
o The Risk Management Framework
o Develop and maintain SSP's
o IAVA review and handling
o Fundamentals of technical security risk assessment
o Perform analysis of alternatives
•Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
•Experience with DoD IT security requirements.
•Experience as a Navy Qualified Validator.
•DoD 8570.01 Certification Compliance.
