The Regulatory Reporting function within Finance Risk Shared Services (FRSS) encompasses reporting activities such as report production, validation, comprehensive variance analysis and timely filing across Prudential, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Liquidity Reports and is currently working with the Finance GPO (Global Process Owner), GPSM (Global Process Stakeholder Management) and other organizations to transform the end-to-end Global Operating Model and all associated processes and platforms.
As a senior position within the Regulatory Reporting team, the Consent Order Reporting Team Lead will be part of a strategic team dedicated to the identification and remediation of key gaps in the reporting processes supported by FRSS with responsibility for participating in future state process design, requirements for supporting platforms and testing and implementation of both across the different reporting groups. In Close partnership with GPSM Process Leads,  GPO and the Consent Order Project teams this role will ensure designed future state global process including governance and operating model become operational in a standardized, sustainable, efficient and well-controlled manner that will support the integrity and control of Citi’s Reporting Processes owned by the Citi Controller.
The team will be responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining key controls, and key operational and organizational metrics for the defined processes in alignment with Finance Target Operating Model and Consent Order strategic initiative.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leadership role in the design and implementation of both tactical and strategic remediation plans to address specific gaps in the Consent Order analysis.
• Responsible for identifying specific action items, execution and coordination with GPSM Process Leads and Reporting Operations, updating of key resource materials and implementation of critical changes to operational procedures, and governance documentation.
• Define standard guidelines, roles and responsibilities, and appropriate alignment of activities within FRSS Reporting Operations.
• Lead the team to deliver results and influence change effectively across geographic and functional areas and levels.
• Manage multiple priorities, plans and tasks and work with geographically diverse resources.
• Manage transition from current to future state process, providing senior guidance and support to reporting analysts
• Responsible for ensuring execution of project plans and key milestones as assigned.
• Escalate potential issues identified in working group sessions.
• Active leadership and representation of FRSS in working group sessions, strategy planning and various reviews sessions to identify and facilitate remediation of detailed action plans and commitments to Consent Order targets.
• Participate in cross-functional working groups among Data, Infrastructure, Process and Governance standardization for key reporting functions.
• Responsible for reviewing updated project plans and key milestones related to project completion.
• Identify process improvement efforts and coordinate and streamline control activities across business and functional lines resulting from changes in operation model.
• Liaise with members of Consent Order Working Groups, GPSM, Reporting Operations and GPO to ensure the project plans and action items are up to date and published to stakeholders.
• Responsible for leading in the production of updated operational procedures and control documentation.
• Active participation with members of the various Reporting Operations functions to identify ways to streamline and implement action plans in order to create more accurate and timely results, as well as improving efficiency.
• Maintain constant dialog with GPSM, Reporting Operations and Project Management to highlight issues with the overall Consent Order action plans.
• Understand and evaluate the implications of the changes proposed by Consent Order working group and communicate the impact of same to Reporting Operations.
• Interface with corporate functional leads for operational execution and interaction/ engagement resulting from proposed changes to Target Operating Model.
• Be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to all control programs and developing a sound and robust control environment.
• Ensure report production activities are executed following current and transition to future state
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong background in one or more of the Reporting Operations disciplines or areas of Finance.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance or business related fields in Financial Services.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access.
• Proven skills in leadership, operational discipline, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Clear and concise communication (written, verbal) skills
• Strong analytical skills, acting as an expert or advisor on Accounting and Close matters.
• Experience with process reengineering / process improvement, design and implementation of accounting and closing processes.
• A bias for action, self-motivated and skilled at motivating others
• Global awareness and global business orientation.
• Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas.
