RMO Global Risk & Control Analyst are subject matter experts responsible for supporting and maintaining Global RMO Risk and Control (R&C) Programs. The Global Risk & Analyst works with the various RMO Functions (ex. Sourcing, RMO Operations, Non-Employee Staff, Systems) and regional R&C teams to ensure consistency in application of policies, regional procedures, and R&C programs. This role has lead responsibility that impact a variety of RMO risk programs, policy compliance, process assessments, as well as, support across Global RMO initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Support RMO R&C Programs to ensure appropriate controls are in place for RMO at the region, country, and global level. Programs to support will span MCA, Internal Audit, Root Cause Analysis, and Compliance Assurance activities.
• Manage risks within a risk-based approach; appropriately escalating and assisting to resolve any emerging or increasing operational risks; identifying and reporting timely corrective action plans (CAPs).
• Support the establishment of an effective risk management program focused on policy and operating procedures compliance.
• In partnership with management, develops and executes on business plans and operating procedures for area of responsibility
• Cross train on other R&C programs to serve as backup
• Deliver work product that supports a strong culture and control environment
• Work closely with the various other global Risk and Control Programs in order to provide support to key projects and ad-hoc requests.
• Determine issues, risks, scope, schedule, and communications and ensure changes to scope and critical issues/risks are communicated/escalated as well as provide status reports to manager, team, and other stakeholders
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
• Support the RMO Global Risk Organizational changes and build a plan to enhance skillsets needed.
• Maintain strong data quality by producing complete, accurate reporting and metrics.
• Identify enhancement opportunities in assigned book of work.
• Support the broader Global RMO Risk Initiatives.
Qualifications:
• 6-10 years of relevant experience with regulatory compliance in technology risk, business continuity, operational risk, supplier risk, or audit and controls
• Knowledge of supplier or third-party risk impact in a financial services industry
• Basic knowledge of other risk areas with a focus on supplier
• Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Ability to draft detailed operating procedures, training materials, and tools
• Familiar with and able to assist with other Risk & control wide programs such as MCA, Internal Audit, and Policies and Procedures
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentations skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to management
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with experience working in a matrix environment
• Possess a sense of urgency with the ability to strive in a fast-paced high-energy work environment
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
