This is a unique opportunity for an up-and-coming HR professional with a diverse range of interests to be exposed to the full scope of HR functions (e.g. Labor Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics, and Talent Management) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. It’s an ideal role for somebody who wants to roll up their sleeves & help make a big impact while gaining valuable HR management experience. The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing tactical employee relation issues and supporting the COO and other division leaders. In addition, the incumbent will assist the staff with training & organizational development initiatives. The Human Resource Business Partner is also responsible for timely and accurate completion of departmental reports and record keeping, including unemployment claims and audits. This position is primarily based in our Tampa, FL office, but will require working at different offices and working successfully from home via Virtual meetings software.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Day-to-day responsibility for employee data management and accuracy
• Handle all Employee Relations cases
• Maintain proper documentation and serve as point of contact for employee relations and labor relations issues for all employees. Generate ideas for and champion/lead employee engagement activities for the site to foster positive employee morale and interaction. Proactively engage the employee population, provide coaching and feedback to employees and supervisors as appropriate.
• Maintains working relationship with union officials and adheres to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.
• Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, temporary employees, and coordinates the new-employee onboarding process to include orientations.
• Maintains affirmative action program; maintains appropriate records, reports and logs to conform to regulations.
• Be an active voice in streamlining & improving current processes; Assist in the development of communications and training around new enhancements delivered
• Create written procedures regarding HR processes
• Manage disability processes for all employees; review policies and benefits with employees; coordinate with third party administrators for Workers' Compensation, Short Term Disability and FMLA while ensuring adherence to ADA and HIPAA.
• Plan, coordinate and co-facilitate various training.
• Respond to employee inquiries on timesheet administration; re-set passwords as needed.
• Support the administration of employee engagement surveys, focus groups and action planning.
• Respond to and manage unemployment claims; perform quarterly audit of unemployment claims
• Manage and ensure completion of compliance training for all employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to multi-task:  You’ve demonstrated the ability to balance and manage multiple priorities with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner due to your strong organization skills.

• Communication:  You can speak and write in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field. 2-5 years’ experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in HR and certification in HR (SHRM-CP)
Compensation Target Range: $55k - $65k to start
