Full Job Description Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has a full-time opening for a licensed athletic trainer in the Owensboro, Kentucky and Southern Indiana areas. The athletic trainer will work under the supervision of the Manager of Ancillary Services. This position will be required to work at a high school covering home events and away varsity football games, while working to prevent, assess, and treat athletic injuries as well as educate athletes, parents, and coaches. The athletic trainer will need to keep accurate documentation records of injuries and treatments.
This position is a dual role position, with high school and clinical duties. High School duties include, but are not limited to, fulfilling the 6 domains of athletic training, as well as community outreach. Clinical duties, such as working in our physical therapy department, cast department, physician extender, and will be based on the athletic trainer’s strengths.
Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, is looking for a self-motivated, outgoing personality who enjoys working with athletes to prevent injury and help them realize their competitive goals. Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine provides a fun, family atmosphere, and the opportunity to work with many individuals from different disciplines. Wages are hourly with overtime opportunities and mileage reimbursement. Position requires ATC Certification, as well as Kentucky and Indiana state licensures or eligible for state licensures, knowledge of medical terminology, and current CPR certification. Must be able to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and clearly and interact effectively with patients, parents, coaches, administrators and other employees at all levels of the organization. Must have reliable transportation.
