Job Description
Location : Hawesville, KY
Shift: Part-Time, 3PM-10PM  (3 on, 3 off, up to 28 hours per week)
Starting Rate: $21.51
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Rewinds cable products onto reels to be shipped, assuring that it is layer winded precisely and without damage.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Operates coiler equipment to produce product meeting customer specifications.
2.    Operates upending equipment and wrapping equipment to palletize and package product.
3.    Operates jib hoist.
4.    Operates scales
5.    Checks product for quality defects and records findings, maintaining records.
6.    Operates and uses forklifts and other powered vehicles as necessary.
7.    Packages reels of cable.
8.    Understands and follows special instructions for running product.
9.    Keeps work area clean and organized.
10.    Supports the OPS culture.
11.    Performs any and all other tasks as requested.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.  Forklift experience is preferred.  Requires knowledge of cable products.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
Forklift, computer, jib hoists, impact wrench, coiler, wrapping machine, upender, and miscellaneous small hand tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Conditions range from an office environment to the plant environment and surroundings.  Noise levels are high within the plant and hearing protection is required.  Safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes are required at all times on the plant floor.  The plant floor will expose the individual to temperature extremes, fumes, dust, water, and hot metal.
