We have a great opportunity for a leader with experience in accounting and finance for an outstanding company in the Tampa Bay area. This VP of Finance/Controller will oversee accounting department.

• Highly competitive compensation of $150,000 - $170,000 (commensurate with experience), plus LTI and bonus potential!
VP of Finance/Controller Job Duties:
• Direct all aspects of accounting/finance operations, oversee all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
• Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements, as well as interim reporting (scheduled and ad hoc)
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff; managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective dynamic team.
• Responsible for directing and enhancing the finance and accounting infrastructure to support the organization and maintain a strong system of policies and internal controls consistent with best practices.
• Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns.
• Work as the primary contact for Business Insurance and Employee Benefits
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.
• Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the COO
• Special projects as needed
VP of Finance/Controller Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPA or CMA preferred
• 10+ years, Big 4 public accounting and industry experience (ideally at PE-backed or public company)
• Advanced technical and analytical skills
• Strong planning and organization skills and understanding of the importance of deadlines
• Superb communications skills required
