Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Summary:
This position interacts with all levels of personnel internally and externally requiring superb communication skills, both oral and written. The position requires a significant amount of expertise as it relates to a wide variety of issues ranging from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. A qualified candidate will support the ability to connect users to the data they need to do their jobs regardless of the devices being used.
This position is responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and resolving all incoming trouble tickets into the IT department. Issues will be dealt with in a timely manner or escalated to the appropriate team locally or externally. The position will answer all calls and emails from customers, answer inquiries and questions, handle complaints, investigate problems and provide information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
• Identifying, using, and connecting hardware components and devices
• Explain types of networks and connections including TCP/IP, WIFI and SOHO
• Install & configure laptops and other mobile devices
• Troubleshoot device and network issues
• Install and support Windows OS including command line & client support
• Troubleshoot PC and mobile device issues including application security support
• Identify and protect against security vulnerabilities for devices
• Basic understanding of help desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow is a plus)
• Monitor Help Desk ticket que and resolve P1, P2, and P3 tickets within SLA's
• Understand OS system configurations and maintenance
• Install and upgrade client systems
• Manage applications, files, and folder structures
• Follow best practices for safety, environmental impacts
• Must be organized, efficient and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
• Able to work under high stress environment
• Compiles, maintains, and prepares various operational reports, logs and files
• Identify and escalate priority issues
What You Need to Succeed
Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
A Level I Technicians should:
• Proven ability to configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices
• Implement network security, standards, and protocols
• Image PCs, install applicable software, troubleshoot hardware/software issues
• Understand and troubleshoot Microsoft O365 applications
• Provide expert troubleshooting and configuration skills with mobile devices including iOS and Android
Prerequisites (Education, Experience, etc.)
• High School degree or GED required
• CompTIA A+ Certification required
• CompTIA Sec+ preferred
• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar preferred
