Product Department Background
The Envolve Pharmacy Solutions (EPS) Product team works across a highly matrixed environment of pharmacy businesses to improve and optimize the customer experience (patient, payer, member).   The Product team partners with business leaders to understand strategy, optimize service offering and technology solutions, while translating that vision into processes, cost models and requirements.  Responsibilities include owning the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned products and ensuring those solutions are optimized across the pharmacy business portfolio.
Examples of initiatives within the Product department include:
·        Patient texting programs to drive education and adherence
·        Oncology utilization management programs to optimize patient drug regimens
·        Improve digital experience for Prescription Drug Plan members
·        Launch digital tools that improve engagement with specialty pharmacy stakeholders (payer, patient and pharma)
Potential Intern Role
As a Product Management intern, you will be part of a dedicated product team that has responsibility for driving new product initiatives through the stage gate process (concept to implementation).  This position requires an individual that is very capable of cross-functional leadership, is a creative problem solver and has the ability to translate complex stakeholder requirements into actionable roadmaps.  As part of these efforts, you will gain the knowledge of how we effectively leverage design thinking, collaborate across departments, and communicate our ideas, strategies and solutions throughout the organization.  You can expect to learn about the field of Product Management and the complex industries of specialty pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management.
Other expected experiences:
• Learn various functions within the Managed Care industry
• Interact and communicate with senior functional leaders from across a large organization
• Participate and engage in weekly team meetings
• Work to research a particular product initiative and recommend strategies to the stakeholders
• Present research findings to the Product team and other key leaders
Position Purpose:
• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
• Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.
Experience/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
Skills:
• A team player who can contribute both collaboratively in groups and autonomously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A good listener with an inquisitive nature
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time
• Superior MS Office knowledge (Visio is a bonus)
• Basic knowledge of web-based technology and software d evelopment
• Experience with product management, marketing and the pharmacy industry is a plus
