Assistant General Counsel
What Will You Do?
You will work closely with your assigned business leaders and the legal team to provide legal research and advice, both proactively and reactively, in your specific areas. You will recommend and implement best practices and proactive strategies consistent with legal requirements and emerging trends to minimize liability and promote the Company’s strategic plan. Working with stake holders and collaborating with business leaders will be a daily process as you develop, write, review and revise company policies and procedures. Representing Ashley, you will attend depositions, mediations, conferences, trials and meetings with regulators as necessary.
What Do You Need?
• Juris Doctorate from accredited ABA law school, required
• 10+ years of experience preferably in a multi-state environment and in a related industry
• License to practice law and in good standing under the Bar of any state that enables admission to practice as in-house counsel in Florida, Required
• Creativity and resourcefulness ,with a bias toward well-informed action
• Proven capability of actively participating in and influencing cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
