Financial Operations Manager # Position Highlights: The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial functions of the Office of Innovation and Industry Alliances. The specific responsibilities include budgeting, revenue forecasting, financial reporting, billing, collections, license/equity revenue distribution, and license agreement compliance. # The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have relevant strategic accounting and/or financial analysis experience. The candidate will also have leadership experience as a supervisor, team/project lead, or manager # Responsibilities: Financial Operations - paying invoices, billing, collecting, distributing revenue and equity, budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting Policy and Procedures - develops and updates standard operating procedures and policies pertaining to the accounting functions of the office Staff Supervision -manages staff to ensure high quality work product and holding staff accountable for their job functions Quality Assurance - performs routine assessment of the accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance to department procedures # Credentials and Experience: Bachelor#s Degree required Minimum of eight (8) years of functional and strategic accounting and/or financial analysis experience. **Master#s degree or CPA designation with five (5) years of relevant strategic accounting and/or financial analysis experience may be considered #in lieu of# a Bachelor#s degree and eight (8) years of accounting/finance experience listed above. Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience as supervisor, team/project lead, manager or above is required (may be inclusive of other experience).
