Are you a litigation paralegal with experience preparing for trial interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity with a top national firm in Tampa, FL? We also want to hear from those with civil litigation and/or construction experience! You will be drafting legal documents and correspondence, including motions and pleadings; preparing and responding to discovery; handling heavy trial prep from discovery through trial, including preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, charts, voir dire, jury instructions, subpoenas, verdict forms, etc.; calendaring; legal research using WestLaw; and other tasks as assigned. Some travel may be required for trial as well! The ideal candidate will be a pleasure to work with, with excellent multitasking abilities and superb written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications:
• 5+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, experience with attending trial and/or construction litigation is a plus
• Experience document production processes and proficiency with document review databases is required
• Must be willing to travel with attorneys as needed
• Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and WestLaw. Trial Director experience is a plus!
• A thorough understanding of filing/e-filing procedures, calendaring, and legal document formatting guidelines
• Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
• Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
