Job Overview
As a Resident Services Coordinator, you are the customer service representative who enhances all aspects of the resident experience at a multifamily apartment home community.
Roles You Will Play
The Mood Booster
• Offer a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere in the leasing center, clubhouse, and any other areas where prospective residents and current residents might interact
• Answer and handle incoming resident communication with excellent customer service, serving as a point of contact for residents who have any questions or concerns
• Keep the customers happy by always searching for new innovative ways to impress them and coming up with creative ideas and events that might being residents together
The Communicator
• Spearhead communications within the community, which can include general notices, lease violations, and newsletters
• Maintain awareness of the market conditions and trends for concessions, contributing ideas to the Community Manager for marketing the community and improving resident satisfaction
• Develop and execute strategies for optimizing online reputation and resident satisfaction surveys in accordance with the community’s goals and Cortland’s standards
The Keeper
• Relate to all residents, address any concerns they might have, and maintain their loyalty to your community so they’ll keep renewing year after year
• Optimize lease renewals and decrease resident turnover through the development and/or implementation of a Lease Renewal Program
• Demonstrate knowledge of all phases of leasing and resident retention programs including lease renewal contact/follow-up and touring/closing prospective residents

Building Blocks of Success
• 2+ years in property management, hospitality, or similar industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills – bilingual abilities may be required based on specific needs of the property
• Solid eye for details and discovering areas in need of improvement
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneSite preferred
