Duties, Responsibilities & Other
• KCI is looking for lead Contract Support Specialist (CSS) to join our Florida CEI team.  The candidate can be based out of any FDOT district in the state.  This will be a leadership level position within the CEI group.
• Selected individual will oversee CSS operations company wide, perform project Quality Assurance reviews, and provide professional development to junior staff.
• Must have extensive knowledge of final estimates requirements and stay current on latest requirements and updates.
• Individual will be expected to represent company at industry meetings such as industry conferences and quarterly FDOT gatherings.
• Selected  individual may also be responsible for CSS services both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build FDOT projects. This will include reporting, calculation of pay quantities for preparation of both Monthly and Final pay estimates as well as assisting the Project Administrator in preparation and submittal of Work orders/Supplemental Agreements, Project Status Reports, and EEO/DBE/Certified Payroll compliance documentation and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a CSS  on FDOT projects required.
• Preferred Qualifications: BS Civil Engineering Construction or related field preferred.
• Specific experience with local FDOT staff is a plus.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree for accredited university is preferred. Other preferred qualifications include EIT or CMIT, PE or CCM, and Construction Quality Management.
• Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience required.
• Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
Performance Expectations
• Complete Annual Individual Training Program
• Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
• Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
• Establish strong working relationship with client, contractors, and design engineers
• Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target
• Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
• Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
• Assist in negotiating contractor change orders
• Maintain document control for correspondence, RFIs, submittals, etc.
• Oversee project schedule and budget
• Prepare and analyze schedules
• Prepare cost estimates
• Read plans and specifications and understand the construction contractor's means and methods
• Solve construction problems in the field
• Test, document, and assure quality of contractor's work
