Ledgent Finance & Accounting is conducting a search for a Staff Accountant in Tampa. If you are looking for an opportunity that provides upward mobility, have a desire to work in the NonProfit sector, and looking for an established organization to join - this position could be for you.  Our client is looking for an organized and motivated team player with at least 2 years of accounting experience.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of grant financial statements and reports to grantors
• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Assist with the tracking and processing of grant expenditures
• Assistant CFO with the communication of financial results to appropriate program staff
• Review of grant-funded projects and recommend cost savings initiatives
Requirements • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 - 3 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of grants and regulations preferred but not required
• Proficient in excel
