Excentium, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business that provides Cyber Security Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), management, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and other IT services to government and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Specialist, Senior (WASA Scanner) supporting one of our Federal customers.

Position Description:
Provide support to review, analyze, and recommend strategic and tactical options for improved management and performance of the Cybersecurity architecture Perform security assessments against web applications for vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, and compliance-related concerns. Will utilize a variety of industry standard security tools to conduct manual-based security assessments. Review new vulnerabilities as they are published and develop impact assessments. Will read and test code as related to APIs
• Determine risk from vulnerabilities based on availability of exploit and potential loss of information and IT services capabilities
• Produce periodic trending and impact reports
• Produce detailed reports (automated and manual) based on results from assessments and have the ability to explain in detail to customers
• Develop new testing programs
• Manage and perform maintenance of backend system software
• Administer existing and future infrastructure including system maintenance and management
• Manage and maintain Government owned virtual platforms (VM), operating systems, and applications
Qualifications:
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related scientific or technical Discipline required
• 10 years' experience.
• 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
• Must have knowledge and experience in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Knowledge of implementation and security levels and roles necessary for successful deployment.
• Have demonstrated experience and knowledge with multiple of the following:
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) top 10
• Support Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
• VMWare
• IBM AppScan
• Burp Proxy Suite
• Kali Linux Suite
• RedHat Enterprise Linux
• Nessus Scanner
• NMAP
• OWASP experience
• Core Impact Pro
• Database Management Systems; SQL, Oracle, Mongo, MySQL
• Web languages and technologies; including but not limited to PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, PERL, ASP, .NET, HTML, CSS
• Certifications:
• Certifications: (Can be overridden with 5+ years' experience in application security solutions)
• Security+
• CISSP
• CEH
