What you will do
As the Warehouse Manager , you will be supervising warehouse staff and overseeing all shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. You will ensure that your team is provided with the information and tools necessary to be successful in their roles, while adhering to company and federal guidelines. As a manager, you will be responsible for coaching your team by providing meaningful feedback and helping them to learn and improve. You will report to our Supply Chain Team located at our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
• Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with our data storage system.
• Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Completing warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Ensuring high quality staff job results through coaching employees and planning, monitoring, and appraising performance.
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing and supporting related results as needed.
A little bit about you
You’re experienced in leading a team and have a great attention to detail. You enjoy the solar industry and want to grow in your career. You are passionate and excited about the learning opportunities here at Empire and the possibility of additional tasks and responsibilities.
You also:
• Have 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse or 3PL setting
• Are familiar with OSHA approved safety standards and enforcement
• Have the ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Possess current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Are proficient with inventory management, CRMs
• Maintain proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Possess forklift and OSHA 10 safety certification
• Have at least 1 year of solar experience in a warehouse or 3PL setting strongly desired
