Job Purpose
The IT Support Analyst will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals.  They will also be responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service tickets in a timely manner according to service level agreement.  The IT Support Analyst must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT staff member.
The Support Analyst will also perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention.  This position will support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and videoconferencing equipment.  This position may require independent work, sharing information and assisting others with work orders. Incumbent must ensure functions are carried out in an efficient, timely manner and ensuring department expectations are met and tasks is completed accurately.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to any duty as assigned)
• Manages the day-to-day operations by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.  Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.  Applies revisions to host system firmware and software.  Works with vendors to assist support activities.
• Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.  Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed.
• Performs troubleshooting as required.  As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel.
• Establishes, maintains, and manages users AS400/S2K accounts (AS400 a Plus).  Installs, modifies, and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provides server support related to other software.
• Ability to present projects clearly and concisely orally and in writing to Information Technology users.
• Knowledge of system analysis and design procedures.
• Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
• Develops and coordinates project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the Company.
• Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for Operations, Client Support and Systems Development staff to assist with work.
• Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for Colonial to take advantage of new technology.
• Provide support for the application and systems.  Must be able to support 24 x 7 or as required.
• Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement processes for application and system monitoring.
• Monitor the Colonial software application, document/analyze problems and publish maintenance schedule.  (maintaining system documentation)
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled (maintenance) tasks and perform necessary interventions.
• Identify problems to be investigated if necessary.
• Provide logging of all troubles, keeping inventory of equipment and equipment faults.
• Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone, email, and necessary training to end-users.
• Maintains current training and knowledge of relevant technologies.
• Shall serve as part of a team responsible to maintain system availability rate of 99%.
• Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Manage all duties as assigned and work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet multiple and/or short deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible and change priorities at a moment’s notice and high level of concentration despite constant interruptions.
• Ability to work regularly scheduled and unscheduled hours.
• Knowledge of the operating characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of electronic computer equipment.
• Knowledge of application support analysis and application procedures and techniques.
• Ability to learn application at a highly developed level and assist in teaching new users.
• Knowledge of research techniques, methods, and procedures.
• Ability to present oral and written reports clearly and concisely.
• Ability to conduct tests, analyzes test results, detect programming errors, and take proper corrective steps.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and end users.

Qualifications
• Able to support Microsoft Windows server technologies (Server 2008 R2/2012/2016) operating systems, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Able to handle pressure and stressful situations with a clear head and to meet deadlines.

• Organizational skills, ability to function well as part of a team and excellent communication skill

This position works in an office environment.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time and enter data into a computer using a keyboard and mouse.  Job frequently requires standing, handling objects with hands, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting over 50lbs. stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Direct Reports
This position will not supervise.
Preferred Education or Experience
BS College Education Degree or higher in computer science/engineering, or other IT related fields with focus in Information technology; Minimum 5 years of related work experience. Experienced in Microsoft SQL server preferred. Experienced in manufacturing environment preferred.
Shift and Expected hours of work
Up to 40 hours Monday to Friday (possible over-time and or weekend work).  Work until required task are completed.
