Social Media Environment and Internet Replication (SMEIR™), a product of IDS International Government Services, is a digital training solution that provides a full-range, free-play, immersive, realistic and scalable operational practice environment in which warfighters simultaneously train on full-spectrum cyberspace operations and social media analytics during integrated and multi-dimensional exercises.
IDS International is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team and build the next generation of our internet simulation platform, called SMEIR. This engineer will play a critical role in deploying the SMEIR product in support of military training exercises virtually and at training facilities spread across the United States.  Our main office is in Arlington, VA but we are open to remote candidates. This role reports to the TechOps Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Deploy new SMEIR installations in support of new military training exercises utilizing technologies such as Terraform and Cloud-Init, into cloud environments such as AWS and VMWare.
• Maintain and administer virtual and physical computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware and configurations.
• Work with customers during demonstrations, installations, and support processes.
• Push the state-of-the-art of our infrastructure automation capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
• We are looking for an infrastructure engineer with experience in some of the following areas:
• Terraform, Cloud-Init, Docker, Kubernetes.
• VPN configuration technologies such as Cisco AnyConnect.
• Identity Management technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP.
• Cloud platforms such as VMWare, AWS.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within the continental United States up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience deploying Windows platforms using Cloudbase-init.
• Experience as a Windows IT system’s administrator
• Experience working with a government contractor.
• Experience in a cybersecurity or cyber warfare industry.
