Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator - Microbiology - St. Joseph's Hospital
Looking for candidates that have previous experience in Quality Control (QC) review and accreditation compliance oversight. Experience in instrument troubleshooting and maintenance, new test verification performance, and data recording is also strongly preferred.
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and leading the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and supervisory duties as required, monitoring productivity, and using independent judgment to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction we are able. Prioritizes, delegates and oversees all phases of the laboratory process, ensuring all established processes, policies and procedures for the laboratory are followed to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely results are reported. Oversees the quality assurance and quality management programs and ensures they are followed, and follows up as appropriate with any deviations in process. Ensures ongoing laboratory compliance with all appropriate regulatory organizations, and all facility and system wide requirements, including monitoring proficiency testing. Responsible for laboratory education and training of all team members, including orientation, acting as trainer and preceptor, ensuring competency documentation, and being a resource and mentor. Compiles and monitors data and leads the laboratory in striving to meet individual, regional, and BayCare wide goals.
