Our US Data & Analytics team seeks a Senior Associate Information Systems Analyst who will be passionate about data and provide state-of-the-art solutions to our business. The position is based in Tampa, Florida.
You will be part of Amgen's Global Commercial Operations Information Systems (GCOIS) organization and help advance Amgen's data and analytics services for the US region. This position is responsible for partnering with various commercial teams (such as sales, marketing, data science, data management) to ensure that data, reporting, and analytics continue to enable understanding of our customers and products.

Responsibilities • Accountable for day-to-day tactical delivery of feature improvements for our data and analytics portfolio.
• Actively engage with internal partners to analyze business needs, elicit/refine requirements, and recommend technical designs/solutions.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, and guide as necessary to ensure delivery of commitments.
• Build expertise in the broad set of data-related technologies, including Data Storage (AWS S3), Cloud Compute (AWS EC2), Highly Performant Data Warehouses (AWS Redshift), Data Engineering and Analytics (Databricks, Spark), Orchestration (Airflow, Jenkins), Request Management (Jira), and Reporting / Data Visualization Tools (Tableau).
• Contribute towards continuous efficiency improvements and continuously refine a backlog of requirements/user stories.
• Works closely in a client-facing role with a team of IS, data scientists, data engineers, and analysts to identify business problems and design/deliver solutions.
• Handle end-to-end requirements for all development work, and management of backlog including tracking dependencies, risks, and decisions.
• Own coordination of our product team across project workstreams (cuts across many Amgen teams and external business partners) to align on dates and scope and delivery roadmap.
Basic Qualifications Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience
And 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or product owner or project manger
Preferred Qualifications • Professional certifications in Project Management, Scrum Master, or similar.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with prior experience working with large sets of data to derive insights.
• Understanding of SQL and hands-on experience retrieving data using complex SQL queries.
• Basic understanding of AWS technologies (S3, EC2, Integration tools, Hadoop, Redshift, Spectrum)
• Intermediate expertise in Python, Scala, or R.
• Exposure to repository/versioning tools such as GitHub
• Passion for innovation and data, and a "can-do" attitude
• Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) software development framework and methodologies
• Healthcare Industry experience
