Job Summary
The candidate will conduct assessments on nutritional status and manage the nutritional care process of patients at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in a timely cost-effective manner. Serve as a “nutrition resource” to medical units, interdisciplinary team, and ambulatory care environment. Perform computer-related activities as required and executes job requirements in accordance with the mission, vision, and values established by TGH. Reports to the Director of Clinical Nutrition.
• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from an institution with an accredited program is required.
• Current license as a Dietitian by the Florida Department of Professional Regulation and registration by the American Dietetic Association’s Council for Dietetic Registration
• Specialty certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and/or Master's Degree is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Requires diplomacy and ability to interact with others, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keeps abreast of new trends and developments in the area of nutrition and utilizes this knowledge in current practice.
• Proficiency with multiple software applications such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), EPIC, Cbord and/or Computrition
