Job Summary:
Seeking a well-rounded, technical individual to be part of a Cisco Unified Communications team supporting multiple tier 1 mission critical applications and communications infrastructure in a 24/7 patient care environment. Systems include Cisco CUCM, Cisco Contact Center Enterprise, Cisco Unity, Vocera, WebEx, Cisco Prime, Cisco Expressway, Calabrio, Variphy, Spok, Voalte, and AirWatch/Workspace One. The team member will spend time on support through a ticketing system along with project work. This includes end user support and device support, development, scripting, engineering, system support, and be part of a 24 hour on-call rotation which would occur for one full week at a time every four weeks. Develops and maintains system specification and technical documentation. Acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and TGH. Participates in department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicating appropriately with both technical and business experts.
Operates our hospital's complex high traffic business critical systems comprised of internet site communications, internal systems, network infrastructure systems, telecommunications, and/or network-based (cloud) production systems. Helps plan, design, implement, maintain, and monitor, scalable local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VoIP). Responsible for specific underlying production service(s)' system(s) including the performance, maintenance, support(s)/troubleshoots the network or system issues, and coordinates installation and configurations of such items as appliances, firewalls, servers, routers and switches with appropriate vendors. Develops tools to automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of all facets of a production system. Develops and delivers training, and assists with proposal writing. Demonstrates transparency in the role by sharing information, collaborating, and working cohesively as a group with other team members. Works to cross-develop skill sets in all facets of the department's role rounding out their education in all facets of production services.
Additionally, production service engineers help in project planning, documentation, cost analysis, vendor comparisons and works on project implementations. Works with the respective teams to enhance and improve system operability. Conducts tests of all production services and their supporting systems ensuring redundancy, resilience, and failover to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved. Will be required to provide on-call service coverage with the other UC team members.
Lastly, a production service engineer will demonstrate better customer service which consists of sustained; continued successes, better interpersonal skills, better communications, increased profits in the organization, higher job satisfaction, improved company or organization morale, better teamwork, and market expansion of services/products.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Three (3) years of related experience on various projects involving Cisco voice and other IP telephony technologies.
• Completion and receipt of additional Accredited Technical Training Certificate and a minimum of one (1) year of enterprise systems Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing systems hardware and software problems and a minimum of three (3) years of enterprise systems support for PC Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing PC hardware and software problems.
• OR Bachelor's degree in computer related field and a minimum of one (1) year of enterprise systems Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing systems hardware and software problems and a minimum of two (2) years of enterprise systems support for PC Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing PC hardware and software problems.
• Or Associate's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of enterprise systems Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing systems hardware and software problems.
• Or 5 years of enterprise systems Support Operations experience installing, analyzing and diagnosing systems hardware
and software problems (Certifications Preferred)
Preferred Skills:
• Highly Preferred: CCNP Collaboration, PCCE/UCCE Scripting and Support
• Preferred: CCNA Collaboration, CCNA, AZ-900, Network , Public Cloud Certifications, and/or ITIL standards certifications
• Advanced competencies with basic computer-based programs and job-related applications. Strong interpersonal skills are required to  communicate across multiple organizational lines. Strong organizational skills are required to work on multiple simultaneous dissimilar activities. Attention to detail and the ability to work well in group and solo situations is a must
