CWS has an immediate opportunity for an Event Monitor and Systems Administrator supporting the USCENTCOM at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. The successful candidate has solid system administration experience and must be a team player willing to work challenging assignments while on shift in a 24 x7 Operations Center environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
• Be able to troubleshoot server, application, and network issues.
• Monitor multiple networks and give real time statistics.
• Provide Tier 2 support of Central Command and its AOR.
• Remote access to client PCs.
• Create and maintain network accounts using Active Directory.
• Perform network checks to insure that services are up and operational.
• Works closely with all tasks areas to continuously improve customer support and customer satisfaction.
• Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the system engineer level.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support multi-tier communications with both technical and non-technical professionals and solid overall communications and technical writing skills.
• Passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, and work experience
• Knowledge of monitoring concepts and technologies, SNMP, alerting, reporting, dashboards, maintenance windows
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML
• Knowledge of Information Security concepts
• Understanding of networking and internet technologies - TCP IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• The ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints involving complex network configuration and/or troubleshooting requirements
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures is a plus
Certifications
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (i.e., CompTIA Security+ CE) (required)
• ITIL v3 Foundation (desired)
Security Clearance
• Current Top Secret w/an ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required

• Shift: This is shift work and shifts can change/rotate.
• Travel: If required, potential for up to 5% throughout the USCENTCOM AOR (which includes Afghanistan, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, and other Southwest Asia nations). Valid US Passport is required.
