IT Engineer– The Auto Club Group
What you will do:
The Auto Club Group is seeking prospective IT Engineer who will serve as a team member in implementing and supporting moderately complex new and/or revised processes, systems or networks.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

Review client requirements and recommends technology solutions that are cost effective and meet IT architecture standards.

Acquire an understanding of user requirements and prepares progress reports for project/maintenance tasks.

Develop system specifications, prototypes, and documentation in accordance with IS standards.

Responsible for the completion and quality of assigned deliverables to ensure meeting department objectives.

We’re looking for candidates who:
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or applicable professional certification and/or two to four years relevant technical and analytical experience.
Certifications:
Microsoft MCSA Preferred
Experience in/with:
• Responding to customer incidents and restoring service (using documented process and work around)
• Analyzing customer incidents and/or requests and reviewing and selecting the most appropriate plan to restore service
• Supporting work/projects that require needs and cost/benefit analysis and resolution of changes in project scope
• Analyzing, coding, documenting and testing technology products and systems.
• Implementation and/or modification of current or new technology in order to meet business needs
• Applying standard methodologies and analysis to problem solving
• Developing technology documentation
• Supporting work/projects that require needs and cost/benefit analysis and resolution of changes in project scope
• Gathering business requirements and preparing business proposals for business lines
• Evaluating hardware and software products and developing recommendations for management
Preferred:
• Supporting end users remotely.
• Supporting end user client applications including but not limited to: SIP Softphone applications
• Supporting end users hardware including but not limited to: audio headsets and hard phones.
• Administering Genesys PureConnect applications including Interaction Dialer.
Preferred Knowledge of:
Telephony Technology including
• Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)
• Private Branch Exchange phone systems (PBX)
• Automatic Call Distribution (ACD)
Server hardware and operating system software
• Physical servers
• VM instances within a virtual cluster.
Knowledge of:
• System operation practices
• Security and control procedures
• Computer technologies and multi-platform capabilities
Ability to:
• Learn to use new concepts and technologies
• Evaluate moderately complex problems/changes and understand the inter-dependencies between components
• Develop solutions requiring analysis and research
Strong written communication skills, including, but not limited to, procedures and technical material preparation and presentation.
