They contribute to the healthcare of patients by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other operational responsibilities based on the needs of each specialized oncology clinical area and specialty. Some of the daily duties include initial patient screening, taking vital signs, completing screening questions, allergy information, and medication history as appropriate and notifying appropriate staff of positive screening or abnormal vital signs.
