Full Job Description BACKGROUND POSITION INFORMATION
Position Title: District Manager

Normal Work Schedule:
· 50 Hours – Monday through Friday 8a-5p Saturday/Sunday calls only (unless store or Manager needs require you on site)
· Available via company provided phone 24/7
· Committed to working flexible hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays; if necessary
· Stores operate 24 hours a day and 365 days per year
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The minimum Formal Education preferred to be considered for this position is (indicated level and years of education and, if a degree is required, the major):
· Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred , but not required
· Minimum 3 years Retail Multi Unit Management experience
· Demonstrated Leadership skills/competencies are required
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
· Mathematical and analytical skills including comprehension of Profit & loss statements and store reports
· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
. This is a Working Position - the District Manager actively participates in store activities to train, develop, and coach. This is NOT an OFFICE/ADMINISTRATIVE position

Areas of responsibility include:
· Drive Sales and Profits for a large scope of high volume, complex locations. Actively train teams on ordering and merchandising to sell
· Coaches/Develops Store Managers on establishing plans to help achieve specific people development plans and sales goals.
· Conducts regular store visits to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as Local and Federal laws.
· Ensures all Labor Management tools are effectively implemented, and area labor targets are achieved. Ensures that allocated store staffing hours are properly scheduled to provide the best level of customer service with minimized wait time for the customer
· Analyzes financial data including but not limited to store profit and loss statements, product movement, shift analysis, labor management, merchandise and cash shortages, and all other available data to ensure sales and profits are maximized, and losses are minimal.
· Conducts, attends, and actively participates in Team Meetings.
· Maintains 100% in stock operational excellence.
· Ensures Store Operations are current on product offerings and promotions.
· Builds strong sales focused teams through recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching to develop top performing team members.
· Coaches team members on how to handle difficult and complicated situations.
· Coaches, supervises team members in all store responsibilities.
· Manage direct reports through effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
· Ensures all Human Resource policies and procedures are maintained; timely and accurate performance reviews, compensation transactions, new hires, terminations, leaves, employee relations, and safety/legal compliance.
POSITION SUMMARY
· Directly drives Sales and Profits for multi-unit area of convenience stores.
· Ensures overall conditions of all stores comply with company standards including: Cleanliness, food service, store and food sanitation, customer service, and, merchandising.
· Computer literate and expert in use of Microsoft Office products.
· Maximizes store profitability, expense control, inventory levels, and shortage controls.
· Assures Best in Class Customer Service - Top down approach
· Fosters a coaching environment where team members want to excel and are recognized for their achievements.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Standing and moving on dry and/or wet floors up to 8-10 hours in a single interval.
· Exposures to varying temperatures due to store coolers and outside temperatures.
· Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle, weights, height, intervals of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the task being performed.
· Exposure to dirt, dust, and other fluids that may soil clothing.
· Exposure to cleaning chemicals found in a convenience and/or foodservice store.
· Expected uniform is business casual or appropriate company logo apparel.
