Job Description
The Gymnastics Program Coordinator will support the Senior Program Director in related programs for the assigned centers. This position will lead communications with program participants, support scheduling gymnastics staff members and increasing program quality and enrollment and enhancing the overall membership/participant experience. Coordinator will also act as an instructor to support programming.
Allocation of time – appx 32-40 hours workweek:
75% of time is allocated to providing direct service (instruction, floor support) as well as gym maintenance (moving equipment, cleaning, etc.). This position will require weekend and evening shifts due to programming needs.

Qualifications
Education/ Experience Required:
• High School diploma required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A minimum of 2 years management and coaching experience in gymnastics and/or dance programs. The coordinator will have a gymnastics and dance background, leadership experience, and a passion for teaching.
• Experience in coaching and spotting boys and girls ranging in age from 1 to 14 required.
• USAG Member or equivalent preferred.
• Highly organized with the ability to communicate to participants in a timely manner, ensuring that participants are well informed of important program information.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, communication, organization and the ability to work within specific time constraints.
• Proficient in using email, Internet, and other PC-based applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, customer service/tracking applications) with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Gymnastics Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
Program Quality and Growth
• Supports strategic plan initiatives, best practices and the elevation of gymnastics as a "signature program."
• Generates and/or analyzes program enrollment and revenue to monitor and report on achievement of goals.
• Participate in gymnastics survey and measurement strategies and action plans - Base Metrics and NPS.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
Program Administration
• Support managing the day-to-day operations to deliver a high quality program.
• Maintaining/Managing the program rosters and current skill sheets for each session to include collection of program fees.
• Support director to ensure staff members are schedule appropriately to support program ratios.
• Support competitive team administration as needed.
• Participate in the planning and delivering quality gymnastics summer, holiday and school break camp programs.
Safety and Risk Management
• Ensures all Tampa Y standards and best practices are implemented and followed. Applies YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to best practices, emergency procedures, medical and disciplinary situations and child abuse prevention.
• Ensures all gymnastics staff members are properly trained and prepared for emergency situations. This includes implementing and following training requirements in addition to ensuring proper reporting of all incidents/accidents according to risk management procedures.
• Maintain proper records, including staff member certifications, staff member meetings and trainings, and daily logs used for policy and procedure review.
• Schedules gymnastics staff members in accordance to program needs and ensures all safety and program ratios are followed.
• Monitors daily gymnastics center operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health & safety regulations. Conducts and ensures proper maintenance of equipment.

Required Certifications
· Must obtain within 30 days of employment and then maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen Administration.
· Maintain other required certifications as stated in the training matrix.
Hourly
$13.00 - $18.00
