Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Telecommunications Division as an Avaya Engineer. The division is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining Enterprise Telecommunication Technology Infrastructures, including PBX/ACD, Voicemail, Unified Communications, Video, Call Recording, Reporting, carrier access (DialTone), and their related systems applications for commercial and government clients.
Skills required:
• Design, staging, and installation of Avaya Aura Telephone Systems, VoIP/SIP Technology, Contact Center, and Voicemail systems.
• Avaya Aura CM7/8 System and upgrades including but not limited to: Session Manager, SBC’s, System Manager, IX Messaging, Call Recording, Avaya Call Center, Avaya Elite Multichannel –   CMS- Call Center Management System, Contact Center Web Integration, Avaya One X Agent, Equinox.
• Rack and Stack installation of Telcom equipment including but not limited: Servers, Gateways, UPS, PDUs, Network Switches, Phones
• Digital/Analog Phones include but are not limited to 66 Blocks, 110 Blocks, Cat5 and Cat6 Patch Panels, DSX Wire Wraps terminations.
• Installation and generation of TLS/SSL Certificates, including 3 rd party certificates and CSR’s on Avaya equipment or using OpenSSL
• Avaya IP Office configuration and installation
• Ability to work closely with PMs and software specialists, customers, and vendors
• Avaya Certifications or ability to get certifications within 6 months of hire date
• Ability to support the transition of legacy digital T-1/E1 to SIP services
• Patching, upgrading, licensing experience
• Ability to perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of telecom problems for end-users; recommend and implement corrective solutions
• Utilizes technical expertise and experience in designing complex, highly available UC infrastructure solutions
• Prior experience in implementing and troubleshooting UCC technologies
• Strong technical ability with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be well rounded with business office professional skills; verbal, written, collaboration, accountability, ownership, motivation, and follow-through
• Ability/Flexibility to travel onsite for installs
• Strong communication skills, ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
• Willingness to perform other duties as required/needed during slow times
• Telecommunications Technologies, Provisioning, Technical Understanding, Functional and Technical Skills, Attention to Detail, Documentation Skills

• Upgrade experience from 6.x to 8.x for: • SMGR
• SM
• CM (Duplex, LSP S8300E server)
• AES
• SBCE
• SAL
• G450
• SAL
• Implementation – Configuration for: • IX Messaging
• CMS -> APS will have to be involved in the upgrade from the existing version 17 to the latest 19.1
• Configuration on: • Media encryption feature enablement
• Loading TLS Certificates
• Knowledge on compatibility for: • WFO – ACR
• Myiptel
