Manager Data Engineering
Our fast-growing client in the Tampa FL area is currently seeking a very technical Manager of Data Engineering to lead their team and contribute to the continued growth and sophistication in the Data Warehouse area.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
• 7+ Years of Data Warehouse Experience with SQL, NoSQL technologies, advanced analytics architecture, deployment and support.
• 5+ years’ experience in leading data engineering/architecture, data mining and data modeling teams.
• 3+ years’ of hands on experience in SQL Server & related ETL/analytical tools (SSIS/SSAS)
• 2+ years’ of hands on experience in Azure/AWS & snowflake (DWaaS)
• Experience in maintaining cloud data lake, data warehouse systems and working on large scale data transformation using Apache Spark, Snowflake (DWAas) or other Big Data technologies & cloud technologies like Azure, AWS etc
• Agile experience is a must have
• Exposure to building data pipelines utilizing technologies and frameworks (e.g. Python, Scala, Java)
• Demonstrated strength in SQL, data architecture, data governance, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• Proven experience using APIs from applications like Google Analytics, salesforce etc
• Experience with cloud database administration, optimization and ETL pipelines
• Experience implementing database administration, data management processes, procedures, data quality management and decision support.
• Experience with hardware provisioning, forecasting hardware usage, and managing to a budget
• Knowledgeable in current technology and industry trends.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into easily understandable concepts.
• Ideal candidates would be competent in: enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, ETL data mapping tools, middleware services, and data profiling tools.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
