Responsibilities :
Job Description Summary:
The Manager of Business & Revenue Cycle Applications manages and coordinates all revenue, financial and administrative application support resources and ensures that application implementations, maintenance, problem identification, quality control (features/functions) and resolutions are compliant with documented expectations. The individual in this role also delivers quality solutions including, but not limited to, the implementation and support of IT applications.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for all revenue cycle applications including but not limited to Financial Services, Patient Access, Coding, Billing and Claims, Payment Posting, Denial Management, Contracting (Modeling, Variances, Underpayments), Health Information Management, Finance, Radiation Oncology Billing, Human Resources, and corresponding application reporting functions.
Participates in strategic and tactical planning related to applications and recommends solutions based on industry trends and understanding of the organization's workflows and needs.
Provides supervision, management and development of Application Analysts. Develops team goals and performance accountability standards. Develops systems and metrics to monitor and improve departmental performance.
Works collaboratively within a leadership team to organizational goals and objectives by managing human, material, and financial/budgetary needs.
Performs all supervisory and managerial functions such as timekeeping, weekly reporting and performance reviews appropriate and efficiently. Provides personnel statuses/updates routinely.
Manages resources involved in all aspects of analysis, planning, design, build/configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of organizational information systems. Provides leadership to quality assurance/testing of applications reports/implementation processes prior to customer delivery of any application changes.
Develops, enforces and maintains application implementation, standards, documentation, policies, and procedures. Provides direct oversight to projects to ensure quality, maintainability and timely delivery of the solution.
Works with the PMO to manage large scale projects. Provides resources to appropriately manage new implementations while also supporting current applications to maintain business processes efficiently.
Reviews vendor RFP/RFI/Contracts and recommends IT solutions appropriately. Manages application support vendors and properly escalates any problems with vendor deliverables or relationships.
Provides appropriate support/back up resources for the IT Operations, Database, Network and Help Desk areas as required.
Travels to remote locations on-request appropriately to provide IT management support.
Provides support for the Help Desk functions, and IT On-Call duties, as needed.
Functions as the subject expert and interdepartmental liaison for processes, workflows, and other meetings as assigned. May be requested often to serve as departmental subject matter expert with internal stakeholders and executives.
Consistent review of and improvement to internal processes and workflows is essential in this role. Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary to discuss and analyze new requirements with customers and users of the systems. The ability to work across multiple platforms on multiple projects with frequent communication, a working knowledge of all facets of this role, relevant regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures are required.
Works closely with leadership and other key business decision-makers to identify current system needs as well as vetting of future applications if needed. Participate in an agile development team, ensuring other members have the information and tools necessary to achieve accuracy.

Qualifications :
• Education :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related discipline required with 5 or more years required working in healthcare IT
• Certifications/Licenses :
• Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
• Previous Experience :
• Experience in the healthcare industry working with Business, Practice Management, EMR, Physician Management software applications strongly preferred.
• Software Development and Applications experience with at least 5 years in progressive leadership role
• Knowledge of Centricity PM G4, OncoEMR, Aria preferred.
• Management of complex HL7 interfaces, healthcare data warehouse, population health management (Oncology Care Model) and interoperability to multiple healthcare providers.
• Advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.
• Proven track record in implementing applications and systems in multiple sites, vendor selection and installation.
• Must have experience with process improvement and project management.
