Full Job Description Riverside Recovery of Tampa, a premier and leading provider of treatment programs for adults struggling with chemical dependency, substance use and abuse disorders, is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). We have 2 available part time openings.

Position Summary :
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the daily interactions with patients, maintaining patient schedule, and 24-hour observation of patient’s activities, affect and locations. The BHTs are focused and utilized to motivate the patients to participate in the clinical services, encourage long-term recovery, and guide the patients to identify behaviors that create a risk in the recovery journey .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Provide structure and support to patients.
· Maintains daily observations of patients at various levels of care at the required time intervals (30 minutes, 15 minutes, One to Ones).
· Provide Motivational engagement of patients.
· Provide Orientation to new admissions and patients transferring from other levels of care.
· Conduct all interactions in a professional and ethical manner.
· Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the patient records.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Valid Driver’s License
· At least 1 year of experience of working in the Behavioral Health field
· Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text
· Understanding of the variety of community support groups (AA, SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, ALANON, CODA, etc.)
· CPR Certification
· First Aid Certification
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and appropriate systems used by treatment facilities
