Full Job Description Full Job Description:
Looking for Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers who want to work in an environment where they teach and care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Monday to Friday 8 to 12
Weekend 4 hour shifts are available as well.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position includes:
Responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our individuals, and ensuring that services provided are in compliance with the applicable Individual Services Plan, Behavioral Plan, and any other pertinent care information.
To provide individualized care and direct support, responsible for performing tasks that are essential to helping adults with developmental disabilities, record clients behavior, and intervenes as needed in a crisis situation.
Minimum Education, Credentials, Experience and Special Requirements:
Required: High school diploma is required from an accredited high school or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals who have mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Preferred: 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals who have mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to pass a Level II background screening check and a Local Law check
Must be able to obtain CPR, First Aid, HIV/AIDS certifications, Direct Core Competencies, and Zero Tolerance training certifications
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individuals and program.
