Job Description
Planet Technology has partnered with a Tampa company to locate a Java developer for a full time role. Please note, the successful candidate will only need to be onsite one day a week so applicants from surrounding areas who don't mind a weekly commute would be welcome.
The role will be working on a software project for a small-mid sized company who is looking to grow their team.
Job Requirements
Required skills and experience:
• Bachelors degree in computer science or similar or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in Core Java & SQL and 1+ year(s) experience in Java EE or Spring.
• Experience with Java SE, Java EE (JMS, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, or JSF) and/or Spring Framework
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL/Maria DB, or PostgreSQL
• Application Servers: JBoss/WildFly, GlassFish, Tomcat, WebSphere, or WebLogic
• Experience with Linux
• Agile development (Scrum)
• Subversion/SVN, Git, Mercurial, or TFS version control
• SOAP, RESTful HTTP, or RPC
• Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or TeamCity
• Preferred but not required: Angular, Keycloak, Selenium, PrimeFaces, Jira, Python
• Candidates must have excellent communication skills
