Consumer and Small Business Banking is at the center of our efforts to rebuild trust and transform the way we serve our customers and clients. The Consumer and Small Business Banking organization is focused on innovating and transforming our business with the customer at the center, better enabling customers to engage with us how, when, and wherever they choose through a broad suite of financial products and services. The Small Business Development Organization will work with the Regional Business Relationship Management team to acquire new small business customers with revenues from $2 - $5 million. Our small business development teams will be charged with growing our business, developing strong relationships with centers of influence, engaging small business owners to understand their business, and becoming an integral part of the communities in which we serve.
The Role
Responsible for strategy development, implementation and management for large/complex markets/business segments, including multicultural markets, critical to WF business objectives. Accountable for achieving market/business segment-specific business growth and financial objectives while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and policies. Works with lines of business and distribution channels to adopt segment-specific financial goals and influences management of various sales channels to provide focus or additional product/sales training to meet these objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing strategies to help his/her team to engage and acquire new business relationships
• Successfully manage the transfer of customers to the Regional Business Relationship Management (RBRM) team including new loan requests, partner referrals, and deposit and treasury management.  There will be Business Acquisition Managers that will report to this position
• Achieving their business segment growth and financial objectives while ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and policies via risk mitigation
• Delivers effective strategies to ensure high levels of team engagement, team member retention and development of leaders. Inspires, motivates and develops a team to high performance levels
• Ensure potential business, customer, compliance and operational risks are identified and communicated proactively, as well as identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate risk
• Manage appropriate staffing levels including attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining top talent across multiple geographically dispersed sites
• Working collaboratively to develop a vision for how to generate significant growth and/or in partnership with other channels and translate that strategy into a concrete implementation plan and lead teams to execute
The successful candidate will have success in building and leading a high performing, industry-leading function in the financial services industry with a One Wells Fargo lens.  This senior leader will have substantial experience leading a 'best in class' organization leveraging highly disciplined business, financial, operations, credit and risk management processes.
The Team
This leader will report directly to Bob Marshall National Small Business Development Leader who is based in McLean, VA. He/She will lead a team of managers and individual contributors.
Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations:   Mclean, VA; Tampa, FL; Plymouth Meeting, PA; Irving, TX; Summit, NJ.   Relocation assistance is available for this position

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of marketing development experience, business development experience, or a combination of both
• 6+ years of management experience

• Senior Leader with a minimum of 5+ years of business experience with increasing responsibilities in leadership positions to achieve and improve business performance and outcomes; specifically driving revenue through partnerships
• Experience creating and implementing programs that leverage the strengths of the teams in the branches.
• Extensive knowledge of Consumer business lines, products, services and strategies
• Experience in managing in a complex risk environment
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans
• Leadership skills including relationship building, partnering and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/stakeholders including senior management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior management and ability to articulate key messages around risk, issues, customer impacts
• Change leadership skills with ability to lead through change impacts
• Ability to leverage data and analytics to drive strategies, identify risks and opportunities, and improve processes
• Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Job Expectations
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
