The Director, Information Security & Compliance is responsible for developing and authorizing implementation of departmental policies across the organization. This includes all technology-related security and compliance including access, privacy, business continuity, identity management and data integrity.
This position directs the activities of three functional areas through managers/senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. This position has control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. This position works on complex problems within information security functional areas by identifying and evaluating issues through assessments.
This role provides strategic thought leadership and disciplined guidance and delivery (both process and technology) for all areas of the company and all technologies. This includes advising the CISO and managing delivery for the following areas:
Security infrastructure strategic roadmap, program development, and delivery
Security governance, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
Security infrastructure implementation, technology evaluation, and solution recommendation
Security management for all threat and vulnerability solutions and guidelines
Compliance risk assessments including regulatory and commercial requirements
Compliance practices meet all local/state/province/country and federal laws and industry standards
Compliance management of internal and external auditors and legal
Contract compliance management for software, customer and vendor contracts for all security aspects
This role leads and manages a dedicated team of information security and compliance professionals, hires and trains new staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members. This position has a significant overall impact on the Global IT Security infrastructure. It sets the security direction and standards for the organization. It requires close coordination and influence with the affiliated companies, partners, and vendors.
