A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARINE UHP TECHNICIAN
As a Marine UHP Technician, you assemble, inspect, repair, maintain, and operate ultra-high-pressure pumps, tumble boxes, and hydroblasting guns in a safe and efficient manner. With attention to detail, you monitor valves and gauges to determine the supply and demand of water, adjusting the speed and feed of water as needed.
You troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair problems. As needed, you also safely operate a forklift and other equipment. You lead a crew of up to 15 employees. Under your excellent leadership, they are inspired to take pride in their work. You take pride in keeping jobs going through the proper handling and care of our valuable ultra-high-pressure pumps!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MARINE UHP TECHNICIAN
• 3 years of experience running hydroblasting jobs and repairing ultra-high-pressure pumps
• Ability and willingness to work in extreme temperatures with exposure to high noise levels, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles in dusty and wet conditions
• Willingness to wear and use safety gear
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Leadership skills
Experience with the removal of marine coatings and an understanding of environmental regulations as well as a background with FLOW and Jetstream equipment would be helpful but are not required! Do you have good troubleshooting skills? Are you attentive to detail? Do you enjoy teaching and mentoring others? Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Are you self-motivated and proactive?
