Overview
Extensive experience in the construction industry executing and/or planning projects as a construction manager, contractor, owner, or developer. Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in leading large, complex projects or programs with a diverse team. Experience preparing expert reports pertaining to construction disputes and providing expert testimony.
Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES
Leads construction disputes resolution/claims analysis services on an array of projects being performed by multiple teams on simultaneous assignments. Provides senior leadership and guidance to the delivery of construction disputes resolution/claims analysis services. Provides expert testimony. Performs quality assurance reviews throughout projects. Actively involved with business development and client relationships.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Involvement in strategy, client identification and cultivation, revenue generation, and forecasting. Active involvement with long term development of MBP's Dispute Resolution service line. Prepares, monitors, and manages budgets, schedules, and other management level tools on multiple projects. Maintains professional licenses and professional certifications. Active participation in one or more relevant industry associations.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Science degree in construction industry-related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or other specific certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Cost Estimating Professional (CEP), Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred. Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management and project controls, and specialized knowledge in several areas including critical path method (CPM) scheduling, cost estimating, cost management, documentation, contract administration, labor loss of productivity, and construction means and methods. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in personnel and project management techniques including budgeting, leadership, and training.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated expertise in construction disputes resolution/claims analysis services and in implementing and managing these services. Expertise initiating strategic approach to projects, programs, and business development opportunities. Experience managing clients and capable of managing complex teams and multiple assignments. Able to take multiple projects from conception to completion concurrently while keeping overall objectives in perspective. Proficient in technical and expert report writing with emphasis on organization, clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY
Capable of managing clients, scope of work, and budgets. Capable of managing diverse teams consisting of team members physically located in multiple locations and with varying experience levels. Assists with providing service line leadership, performing quality assurance reviews, and maintaining revenue and profitability. Receives strategic guidance on overall objectives from and reports to the Dispute Resolution Service Leader.
SUPERVISORY
Supervises and coordinates work of large and/or multiple project teams. Performs strategic, analytical, and management tasks.
