Position Description:
The Injection Team Leader is responsible for the overall performance and efficiency of the department and its resources/ human capital.
The Team Leader accomplishes this by:
• Establishing an environment that creates success through people
• Exemplifying the Plastipak Operational Culture
• Monitoring and approving necessary setting adjustments.
• Ensuring preventative maintenance requirements are done as outlined by machine specification and preventative maintenance guidelines.
• Having a working knowledge of various product orders by following all material requirements and customer requests.
• Ensuring quality control checks are being done
• Helping maintain customer requirements, according to specifications.
• Ensuring correct housekeeping procedures on machinery and in designated work area are maintained.
• Attending training sessions and conducting team meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitates scheduled work orders
• Relieves Technicians for breaks
• Relieves for vacations
• Ensures that all materials to fulfill the work orders that are present
• Coordinates team meetings
• Monitors all Quality Documentation ensuring all is in compliance
• Works with Maintenance Technician to prioritize work needing completion
• Works with new team members to train on line and on auxiliary equipment
• Responsible for production data that is to be correctly entered into PICS / Iconics
• Responsible for monitoring sales orders for finished goods
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation
• Ensures GMP and safety policies are followed
• Responsible for maintaining ISO standards
• Initiate action for food safety issues
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or higher preferred; Relevant experience will be considered
• Team Oriented and Self-motivated in all job responsibilities
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Prior experience with Husky Injection Molding equipment preferred
• Effective time management
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical and mechanical abilities; Continuous learning aptitude through training
• Physical effort required, continuous mental and visual attention required
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Walk up stairs
• Manual dexterity
• Exposed to dust, odors, oil and noise
• Required to sit, stand, climb, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, and move about the facility
• Overtime required per schedule, 7-day week operation
• Must be flexible with shift and work schedule to accommodate business demands
