Join Citi’s regulatory implementation within the Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) team for US Regulatory Reporting.
The Basel RWA Analyst is responsible for managing Risk Weighted Assets Reporting Processes, and work closely with the other team members to ensure the RWA results adhere to all controls and create required analytical support to key stakeholders in Capital Planning and Regulatory Reporting.  This role will focus on Basel IV SA-CCR updates.
This position is reporting in the FRSS team for US Regulatory Reporting, but being position as responsible to lead transformations of FRSS processes for Go-live compliance of upcoming new capital regulations including Standardized Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR) and other upcoming Basel IV new regulatory rules. This individual will help ensure Citi has a consistent and well-supported process for a rule compliant implementation approach. As such, this individual will work closely with Capital Planning organization in Citi Finance, which is program managing the overall Citi transformation for Basel IV. This overall program, and FRSS, collaborates with the key stakeholders across the firm to drive the overarching implementation initiatives of the upcoming regulations. This role also provides extensive exposure to colleagues across risk, finance, technology, and line of business functions.
Key success factors will be this position’s ability to perform analytics on large datasets and ability to learn the rules of RWA calculation and process for the Trading Book (Derivatives and Securities Financing Transactions (SFT).  The candidate must be able to summarize the finding and create commentary that can be consumed by seniors and others outside the RWA team. Excellent interpersonal skills are required given the high level of interaction with senior managers, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Technical skill is important to the candidate’s success, but also is strong project management and multi-tasking skills to plan and manage deliverables towards a number of objectives.
This position will report to the FRSS RWA Trading Book Lead and be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
• Support the analysis and submission of reports for Basel RWA Reporting as per Regulatory requirements
• Manage activities related to production close for the US RWA reporting supporting multiple entities
• Develop analytics packages and processes leveraging Data Science skills (R, Python) to quickly and efficiently manipulate large datasets.  Present the results to partner groups and seniors.
• Be able to design new processes , procedures for partner teams and drive agreement on enhancements
• Identify & highlight key drivers of RWA movements and articulate the results in a succinct manner.
• Work closely with the Capital Planning in supporting the controls redesign, BAU process onboarding and Go-live compliance of new capital regulations including Standardized Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR) and other upcoming new regulatory rules.
• Ensure Citi has a consistent and well-supported BAU process and controls to support a sustainable audit ready production process around RWA calculations and reporting.
• Provide inputs for UAT testing and results validations for the RWA Reporting Change management
• Work closely with key FRSS, Finance, Risk and Technology partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities.
• Evaluate risk and controls needed to manage tactical solutions required to deliver timely and accurate RWA Reporting for key partners.
• Manage and deliver productivity goals including financial targets as applicable.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have 5 + year’s work experience in finance, accounting and / or risk. Experience managing large tasks in complex environments and solid team and individual contributor track record.
• BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Math or related field
• Knowledge of and experience working with big data and large datasets will be very useful for this role
• A quick learner who possesses quantitative analysis, data preparation and interpretation skills
• Experience in Financial Services Industry, Financial Planning and Analysis is a plus but not necessary
• Experience using coding skills, analytical tools, SQL, R, SAS or Python preferred
• Knowledge about RWA, SLR, and other regulatory indicators is a strong plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly develop advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access (or other database front end query applications) required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required given the high level of interaction with senior managers, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
• Able to work independently or as a team member on projects or its components
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, tireless work ethic with ability to work well under pressure
• Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work-Space (AWS) environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to produce a polished, high quality and accurate product.
• Must have U.S. work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas.
