Are you a passionate Application Security Engineer with strong knowledge of cyber security tools, processes, and best practices? If so, we may have the ideal role for you in Tampa. Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to provide strategic guidance in support of  long-term enterprise cyber security strategy.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Responsibilities of the Application Security Engineer:
• Work closely with DevOps, development, product management, and QA teams to support application security program
• Maintain documentation related to the application security program including secure coding policies and changes to the SDLC
• Help to integrate application vulnerability testing tools and triage reported application security vulnerabilities
• Support the evaluation and acquisition of application security tools and technologies
Requirements of the Application Security Engineer:
• At least 2 years in a development or QA role with exposure to application security principles and practices
• At least 2 years of experience performing web application security testing and conducting security penetration tests
• Thorough knowledge of security principles and practices
• Understanding of application threat modeling, abuse cases, and DevSecOps practices
• Experience with application vulnerability testing tools such as Static Code Analysis and Dynamic Code Analysis
• Current security certifications such as OWASP, SANS GWEB, CEH, OSCP
