We are looking for a Software Engineer to work in our wholesale and brands technology division on the Order Management and Integrations teams. Both teams use software like Spring (Core/Boot/Integration), Java, Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, Python, Go, Consul, Vault, Terraform, GitHub, GitLab , SQL and NoSQL Databases. Our applications are hosted both on prem and on AWS and other cloud technologies. The engineer will be focused on developing new application software while collaborating with the engineers within the organization for any platform solution libraries. This is an engineering role, so a solid experience in delivering engineering solutions and working with engineers and analysts is essential to be successful. It is critical to understand the big picture while keeping an eye on the delivery. Fanatics tech teams are agile enthusiasts and are willing to solve even when requirements are not clear.
What you'll be doing: • Independently designing & implementing solutions for difficult problems
• Continuous Integration and Deployment
• Automated Tests and Performance Tests
• Evangelize best practices in software engineering
• Become the subject matter expert the organization seeks for solving integration problems
• Deliver high quality solutions in short timeframes
What we're looking for: • Approximately 3-5 years of prior software development experience, Full stack or backend
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Node, Typescript, Spring, Go, Python or a similar language is essential.
• Strong development experience with HTTP/RESTful APIs
• Strong development experience with messaging architectures like Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Experience with databases like Postgres and SQL Server
• Experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum
• Experience with build tools and source control like GitLab and Git
• Knowledge of the Microservice architectures and container platforms like Docker
• Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS
• Communicate clearly and influence decisions
• Willingness to dive in to solve a problem in an unfamiliar space
Bonus Points! • Prior experience with EDI, Salesforce, Cloudcraze
• Hands-on experience in the Cloud; specifically, AWS
• Hands-on experience with Open-Source projects like Apache Camel and Spring Boot
• Experience with test automation
