The Salvation Army , an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Part Time Custodian for the Tennessee Territory, located in Owensboro, KY.
Job Summary
Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds. Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. And six months experience performing grounds keeping work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (50-100 lbs.) materials, supplies, and combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
